I have just watched a brilliant documentary n the rebuilding of The World Trade Centre it was amazing to see the number of people who had family who built the Twin Towers or who worked in the towers before 9/11 that were now involved in building the new World Trade Centre.
Watching the steal workers sauntering across the steal beams hundreds of feet in the air brought the steal worker picture sold by the yellow and blue Scandinavian furniture shop to life.
But what are the questions?
Firstly how do the cranes climb the floors as the building gets taller?
How the bloody hell does the crane get down once the tower is finished?
I guess I need to search YouTube for the answer but for now I am just thinking this over and over!
The last piece to be put on the top of the tower was a 44 ton lantern the crane lifted this 1368 feet to the roof before topping out at 1776 feet. How the heck does a crane get down from that height?
