I really have been neglecting the blog this last couple of weeks. I have been very busy at work. I am planning an inspection of a large mental health NHS trust, this is the last one of the first group being inspected using a new methodology. This has been a significant but very enjoyable challenge and I have the timetable sorted and the team identified and in place there is little more that I can do now until we go on site on Monday.
The trust has been selected as one of a range of trusts to be inspected under CQC’s revised inspection approach to mental health and community services. This will support the development of models for integrated mental health services regulation and assessment of services delivered in the community. The inspection will also advance our approach to how best to use intelligent monitoring for these services.
I have a Fitbit, the boy has a Fitbit, we are addicted to the Fitbit!
Boys and their toys! If you haven’t seen a Fitbit it’s a gadget, nice! It has an App to support you, even nicer! And a website dashboard, Ohhh that’s really nice!!
WIRELESS ACTIVITY AND SLEEP TRACKER.
If you want to turn fitness into a lifestyle, the One™ is for you. For starters, it never rests. During the day, it tracks your steps, distance, calories burned, and stairs climbed. Come nightfall, it measures your sleep quality, helps you learn how to sleep better, and wakes you in the morning. The One™ motivates you to reach your goals by bringing greater fitness into your life – seamlessly, socially, 24 hours a day or put simple a “boys toy”.

WIRELESS ACTIVITY & SLEEP WRISTBAND
This slim, stylish device is with you all the time. During the day, it tracks steps, distance, and calories burned. At night, it tracks your sleep quality and wakes you silently in the morning. Just check out the lights to see how you stack up against your personal goal. It’s the motivation you need to get out and be more active or put simple another “boys toy”.
Now I park at the top of the car park furthest away from the entrance as I need the steps and the floor as these are all counted sometimes I now walk instead of taking the car!
The Fitbit automatically syncs your data to my Mac and Iphone and it produces lovely colourful graphs that I cannot possibly do without!
I have been loosing both weight and size to the extent I went rushing off to London on Monday and as I sat on the train I thought these trousers should be looser with all of the weight I’ve lost. I assumed that Mrs has washed and shrunk them. I texted her to explain my displeasure, only for her to reply “you idiot I bet you have the child’s trousers on!” Guess what I was wearing school trousers!!!!!! A bit tight across the arse but school trousers all the same.
In London Saturday before last we bluffed our way into the Weatherspoons that was for QPR fans only but we were starving leaving home at ungodly o’clock we needed breakfast before the match so we ordered their breakfast 1400 calories of pain! Both of us were moaning about how much our stomach felt like it had been poisoned with fat, a thing of the past in our house not seen a fired egg or deep fried sausage or hash brown for ages now I don’t wasn’t to see one ever again!
I have checked the Discovery Cove website and I can see that they have a wetsuit to fit me, they go as large as 8XL that’s EIGHT EXTRA LARGE!!!!!!
I want to be in a medium by December.
I can’t wait to swim with the dolphins now, I have started going to the early morning swimming session where everyone swims laps, I am in the slow lane, but I do swim the fastest in that lane, and swam 1800 in an hour and four minutes one morning. The poor dog now has to wait to go for his proper walk until the end of the day, just as we started walking in the light of the morning we go back to the dark well for the next couple of weeks that is!
